Review the products you love
We're looking for people who know their stuff (EDC, knives, tents, axes, tools, hardware, audio, cars, car accessories, software) and want to tell the world about the products that earned a permanent spot in their life.
What we review
- Products and software that can be bought or subscribed to.
- They have a brand and a product name (and, if it matters, a model, variant or trim).
- They're relevant worldwide, even if they're only sold in some regions.
- You genuinely recommend them. That's what the badge means.
What we don't
- Services, such as tradespeople, agencies or consultants.
- Places and experiences: restaurants, hotels, events or trips.
- Unbranded, one-off or second-hand items.
- Products you wouldn't buy again.
Our standards
- Be honest. List the cons. Every great product has some.
- Disclose. Say whether you bought it, were given it, were loaned it or subscribe to it.
- Use your own photos where you can. Otherwise, only openly licensed images (CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA), credited.
- Clean links. Link to the product, never with your own referral tag.
- Write like a friend who happens to be an expert: clear, specific and fun.
How it works
- 1Apply by email. Tell us what you know and what you'd review.
- 2Get invited. We add you to our (private) GitHub repository.
- 3Write in Markdown. One folder per review, with your photos. Our template does the hard work.
- 4Open a pull request. You get a private preview of your review, exactly as it will look.
- 5We publish it. After a quick edit, your review goes live with your byline.
No GitHub experience? No problem. Everything can be done in the browser, and we'll help you with your first one.
