Products worth shouting about

What A Product! is a catalogue of products our authors genuinely love. That means everyday-carry gear, knives, tents, axes, tools, audio, cars and car accessories, hardware and software. Every review is written by someone who knows the category and uses the product in real life.

Our editorial policy

• Only products we'd recommend. If it's on the site, the author would buy it again. That's what the badge means.
• Honest cons. Every great product has trade-offs, and we list them.
• Disclosure, always. Every review says how the author got the product: bought it, got it as a gift, was loaned one, or pays for the subscription.
• Real products. Things you can buy or subscribe to, with a brand and a product name. No services, places or one-offs.
• Credited photos. Images are the author's own or openly licensed, and every one is credited.

How we make money

Right now, we don't. There are no referral or affiliate links on What A Product! yet. If we add them in future, links that earn us a commission will be marked as sponsored, every review page that has one will say so, and it will never change what we recommend.
